Groundsperson (Melbourne)

Nationally situated, GLG GreenLife Group is a market leader specialising in the provision and management of landscape, construction and maintenance services to major corporate, government and commercial clients.

GLG Victoria is seeking numerous Groundpersons for work maintaining horticultural and turf assets as part of the grounds maintenance team, based at our City of Whittlesea Depot.

The main duties and responsibilities for this Groundspersons position include, but are not limited to:

  • undertaking general grounds maintenance duties, ensuring the expected standard of work is maintained at all times;
  • duties to include, but not limited to: mowing, edging, snipping, weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, sweeping, litter collection, cleaning and/or any other gardening, property or turf related tasks associated with grounds maintenance; 
  • ensuring the safe operation and transportation of vehicle, plant and/or equipment, including performing routine checks.

The successful applicant will have:

  • experience and skills in grounds maintenance and associated plant and equipment, including brushcutting, hedging, zero turn mowers;
  • a current manual driver's licence (MR advantageous);
  • a strong work ethic with outstanding time management skills;
  • Construction Safety White Card;
  • Traffic Management level 2 and First Aid Certificate (advantageous);
  • chemical application license (advantageous).

Supervisor (Adelaide)

GLG GreenLife Group is a market leader within our industry, specialising in the provision and management of landscape maintenance services to major local government clients.

GLG South Australia is seeking an experienced and qualified Supervisor for work maintaining horticultural assets for our clients throughout the Northern Region of Adelaide

To be successful in this role, you will need to be focused on high quality outcomes for our client, whilst also being energetic, highly motivated, and innovative in your thinking.

The successful applicants will have:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture or Turf Management, along with a minimum two years' experience in leading teams OR
  • Evidence of extensive experience in leading grounds maintenance teams;
  • Traffic Management Implementation (previously Level 2) is advantageous;
  • Experience in conducting and capturing quality site audits and inspections electronically;
  • a current manual driver's licence (MR or HR advantageous);
  • a strong work ethic with outstanding time management skills.

In addition, as a supervisor you will have the demonstrated ability to:

  • implement and maintain schedules in conjunction with our clients' requirements;
  • develop, motivate and lead your teams across numerous and various sites;
  • set timelines, deadlines and routines in conjunction with our clients' needs;
  • conduct analysis of your teams' output and standards to continually improve the needs and requirements of your sites;
  • follow timelines, deadlines and routines in conjunction with our clients' needs and schedules;
  • conduct and supervise plant and vehicle maintenance.

Plant Operator (Melbourne)

GLG Victoria is seeking experienced and qualified Plant Operators for work maintaining horticultural assets as part of the grounds maintenance team, based at our City of Whittlesea Depot

The successful applicant will have:

  • Tractor with implements experience;
  • Wide Area Mower experience;
  • Upwards of 3+ years demonstrated experience in grounds maintenance, mowing and slashing, including general maintenance and care of associated plant and equipment;
  • Mechanical knowledge (advantageous);
  • a Certificate II or III in Horticulture (advantageous);
  • A current MR drivers licence;
  • White Card and First Aid Certificate;
  • Chemcert (advantageous).

In addition, as a Plant Operator you will:

  • Set timelines, deadlines and routines in conjunction with our clients' needs.
  • Conduct analysis of your output and standards to continually improve the needs and requirements of your sites.

GLG Victoria is seeking horticulturist, turf & trade qualified staff for work maintaining horticultural, turf & infrastructure assets as part of the grounds maintenance team, based at our City of Whittlesea Depot.

The successful applicants will have:

  • A Certificate III Horticulture or III Turf Management or Certificate in Trade;
  • Experience in horticulture or turf or asset maintenance, including associated plant and equipment;
  • A current manual driver's license (MR or HR licence advantageous);
  • Chemical Users accreditation (ChemCert or ACUP) (advantageous);
  • A Traffic Management accreditation (advantageous);
  • First Aid and Construction Induction (white card) (advantageous);
  • A strong work ethic and proven time management skills.

Contract Managers - Maintenance (Melbourne)

GLG Victoria is seeking Contract Managers for work maintaining horticultural, Infrastructure and turf assets as part of the grounds maintenance team, based at our City of Whittlesea Depot.

The main duties and responsibilities for the Contract Managers position include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrating client, contract, sites, staff, depot facilities, suppliers and subcontractors, along with fleet, plant and equipment;
  • Operating a full range of horticultural, turf plant and associated equipment;
  • Ensuring all meetings, reports, services, routine or responsive work schedules, maintenance and repairs are carried out in a timely and productive manner and in accordance with GLG policies; 
  • Managing the client relationship;
  • Completing projects/sites within financial budgets and timeline requirements and in adherence to contract specifications; 
  • Auditing, reporting and/or evaluating sites, operations, productivity and standards of themselves and other.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current Applicable Drivers Licence (HR or MR Licence advantageous).
  • Industry Safety Card.
  • Cert III in Horticulture or Turf or like qualification or proven experience in the team management of gardens, grounds and property maintenance works. 
  • A strong work ethic with outstanding time management skills.
